        LifeTime™ Solar, a division of LifeTime Structures, LLC, integrates both solar electric and solar thermal systems into each new LifeTime™ Structure and LifeTime™ Energy Free Home. Solar electric systems are tied to the electric grid and produce electricity for the home's use, or to sell back to the utility company. Solar thermal systems use the sun’s energy to provide heat for domestic hot water, space heating, and swimming pool heating.

        Each LifeTime™ Solar system is designed to deliver the best return on your investment. We begin the process with a solar site evaluation that determines the solar resources available at your site. This information is entered into a sophisticated computer simulation programs that then accurately forecasts the output of solar system at your site. By using the computer simulation program we can change the type and number of collectors to optimize the output versus the investment. Each LifeTime™ Solar system also comes with a 2 year installation warranty and a 10-20 year solar collector warranty.

Solar Electric

        LifeTime™ Solar Electric systems can be the perfect complement for homeowners who are either looking to reduce or completely eliminate electrical bills. Each LifeTime™ Solar system is designed to deliver the best return on your investment. We begin the process with a solar site evaluation that determines the solar resources available at your site. This information entered into a sophisticated computer simulation programs that then accurately forecast the output of solar system at your site. By using the computer simulation program we can change the type and number of collectors to optimize the output versus the investment. Each LifeTime Solar Electric system comes with a 2 year installation warranty and a 20 year solar collector warranty.

        A solar electric system consists of photovoltaic solar collectors that convert the sun’s energy into electrical energy called DC electricity. This DC electricity is then changed into usable household electricity (120v/240v AC electricity) by an inverter and sent into the house or back to the utility company if your house doesn't need it. The utility company bills you for the amount of electricity you use less the amount you produce (called net metering). Net Metering has allowed nearly every homeowner to produce solar electricity and use the utility “grid” for storage instead of expensive battery storage systems.

Solar Thermal

        LifeTime™ Solar Thermal systems can be the perfect complement for homeowners who are looking to reduce their domestic hot water costs, typically between $200-$600 per year, or supplementing their home heating system to reduce heating costs. A LifeTime™ Solar Thermal is designed to deliver the best return on your investment. We begin the process with a solar site evaluation that determines the solar resources available at your site. This information entered into a sophisticated computer simulation programs that then accurately forecast the output of solar system at your site. By using the computer simulation program we can change the type and number of collectors or the size of water storage to optimize the output versus the investment. Each LifeTime™ Solar Thermal system also comes with a 2 year installation warranty and a 10 year solar collector warranty.

        A solar thermal system consists of solar collectors, which converts the sun’s energy into heat that is transferred via liquid to a storage tank. The liquid in the storage tank can reach temperatures of nearly 200 degrees. The storage tank can then provide heat for domestic hot water, home space heating, or even swimming pools. There are two types of solar collectors. Evacuated tube collectors are more efficient in winter months, but typically cost more than flat plate collects. Your site and application will determine the type and number of collectors and the type and size of storage capacity..
